Paul got his first electronic keyboard as a gift when he was four years old. This combined with having a musician father set him up for a life within music. He had his own home studio at the age of 13, and would spend hours programming and putting his own tracks together.

At 16, he studied Music Technology & Performing Arts at the prestigious B.R.I.T School in Croydon, Surrey. Whilst there, he went clubbing for the first time and got bitten by the dance music bug. He began listening to as much of it as he could. House, Garage, Trance, Break-beat or Drum & Bass, Paul could never get enough!

When he had completed his course, passing with Distinctions, Paul managed a musical equipment shop. It was his job to sell and demonstrate the Hi-Tech and DJ equipment. After getting his own decks and spending all his spare time practicing, he landed a gig in a local nightclub, leading to his first residency. Since then Paul has had another five residencies spanning ten years; started his own night called Indulgence and played to thousands of people all over the world after becoming a resident for the ultra-cool House music label that is Hed Kandi. He has also featured as a guest DJ for radio shows on Galaxy, Ministry of Sound Radio and Smooth FM, as well as syndicated shows across Europe.

Paul spends a lot of time in the studio where he writes, produces and remixes on his own under the name Synch, alongside his best friend and Kandi percussionist Ian.C, as the Victims Of Fun and with Rob Wilder, as Uberpunx. He has also just has his first single signed to Hed Kandi, a remake of the dance classic ‘Le Voie Le Soleil’ by Subliminal Cuts, being released under the name Paolo Collina.
